On Wednesday, January 14th newly elected State Representative, Christine Winger was formally sworn into office. While Winger has previously served in several government and professional capacities, she is eager to begin this new chapter and represent the communities of the 45th District.

She succeeded State Representative Dennis Reboletti, and is committed to following through on various initiatives started under his tenure. Christine is ready to take on this new challenge and help make positive change in Springfield.

For the Inauguration event, Rep. Winger was designated a member of the Escort Committee during the House inaugural ceremonies. This honor gave her the opportunity to greet and escort the Speaker of the House, Michael Madigan, as well as Secretary of State, Jesse White. Toward the end of the ceremony, the House voted to adopt House Resolution 3, the appointment of a committee to “… wait upon the Governor and notify him that the House is organized by the election of a Speaker… and is now ready to receive any communications he may have to present.” While this resolution was merely ceremonial, Rep. Winger said being a part of this committee was an honor, and a great addition to an already special day.

Winger, a lifelong resident of Illinois who was raised on the Northwest side of Chicago, currently resides in Wood Dale with her husband, Mark. Rep. Winger has over 15 years of public service and for the past eleven has served as a City Councilwoman in Wood Dale. She also has professional experience as a project manager with companies like IBM, and currently serves as a financial advisor.

Rep. Winger’s district office is located in Bloomingdale at 1 Tiffany Pointe, Bloomingdale, IL 60108. For more information, or to contact your State Representative, please visit www.repwinger.com.
