Winger Seeks Community Input From Senior Advisory Council

Today Representative Christine Winger hosted the first meeting for her senior advisory council.  The meeting gathered interested constituents from around the district to discuss important topics of concern affecting seniors in the community and across Illinois. The meeting served as an introductory session where the Representative described the purpose of the council and the goals in creating it.

The first meeting was a success, and Rep. Winger was able to receive great input from constituents who are eager to contribute and offer insight into how Illinois can improve.

“Our first meeting had a great turn out, and I look forward to getting to know the council in our many meetings to come.  This was a great starting point, to gauge everyone’s interests and hear more about their concerns and what I can do at the state level to better serve them.  I am interested to have continued feedback from this group to be able to best represent their voices in Springfield.”

This council is an opportunity for area seniors to learn more about services available to them and also discuss issues affecting them in the community. For all of those who were unable to attend the first meeting, there is still time to join and share your questions and concerns with the Representative.  You can contact the district office at (847) 252-9311 for more information on upcoming meetings for the advisory council.
